Antique silver amulet depicting the divine footprints of Lord Vishnu. This amulet, handcrafted from a repoussed sheet of 800 coin silver, features the Sripada (divine footprints) under the honorific umbrella. The bail is in excellent condition ready for a cord or chain. This silver amulet had a very dark patina from age and was shined up a bit. Pendant measures 2 x 1.25" from Rajasthan, India. 4.6 grams - approx. 800 content silver. 

Vishnu's footprints or, often, his feet (pada) are among the emblems used to stand in for his full body. Vishnu is one of the principal deities of Hinduism. The god's feet are particularly significant because he took three steps across earth, sky, and heaven.
